Please note that under the Councillor Gift Policy, a Councillor Gift Declaration Form must be submitted within 14 days of being offered a gift, regardless of whether it is accepted or declined.
A ‘Conflict of Interest’ must be declared for the receipt of 'gifts' valued as $500 or more (in total), received from a person (or their agent) with a direct interest in a Council matter OR a director, consultant, contractor, agent or employee of a person, company or body that the person knows has a direct interest, if the gift was received during your term in office or within 12 months of being elected into office.
This is declared by completing both of the following forms:
- Disclosure of Conflict of Interest - Councillor form, selecting “Indirect interest due to receipt of an applicable gift” and
- Register of Gifts and Other Considerations form.
Once completed all forms must be forwarded to Governance to be added to the register.
